The Airport Authority acts in an administrative capacity and is vested with the authority to control, lease, maintain, construct, improve, operate, and regulate the airport or landing field. It has the authority to operate the joint County/City airport. The IPJ Airport is a relief airport for the Charlotte / Douglas International Airport serving the corporate customer and the private pilot in every possible way. The Lincolnton/Lincoln County Airport provides the following services:
