4th of July Celebration

2023 Fourth of July Celebration - Tuesday, July 4, 2023

The party is ON for Independence Day this year! The celebration starts at 6:30pm on Tuesday, JULY 4th! Here's the schedule:

6:30 PM - Streets close for spectators & vendors. Lincolnton Fire Department will have the spray zone out on East Main at Academy.
7:00 PM - Parade lineup starts with check-in at Court Square & East Water Street.
8:30 PM - The parade rolls from Cedar Street to North Aspen and ends on Jeb Seagle.
9:30 PM - Fireworks show starts! There is no viewing at Lincolnton High School Stadium!! See below for more details on street closures & viewing locations.

Everyone is invited to join the fun!

All parade entries must be submitted online. Parade entries are FREE, but registration is required. Scroll to see parade rules, maps, and more details. The online entry deadline is midnight on Monday, July 3.

The FIREWORKS show is ON! Bigger & higher than ever!

Tuesday, July 4, 9:30pm - 10pm

The Fireworks Show is MOVING! There will be NO viewing or program at the Lincolnton High School Stadium.

The Fireworks Show launch zone is now at CITY PARK due to the new artificial turf at LHS stadium. For everyone's safety during the show, N Aspen from Dixon to Flint will be closed to traffic.

Here are some great NEW viewing locations:

The LHS student parking lots & Aspen Street sports fields
First Federal Park downtown at Sycamore & Poplar
Along North General's Blvd near North Aspen (Tractor Supply)
Northside neighborhoods including North Laurel, Poplar, & Cedar.

Parade entries are free, but all entries must be registered. Register NOW

Show off your patriotic spirit & creativity with an entry in the parade. Bikes, trikes, cars, trucks, trailers, floats - all are welcome to join the fun parading down Main Street & North Aspen.

The line-up starts at 7:00PM in the order of arrival to check-in at the corner of East Water Street & Court Square. NO early admittance is allowed!

Parade Rules:

1. All entries must have a patriotic theme and carry or display the American Flag.

2. All entries MUST CHECK-IN at the line-up entry on East Water Street at Court Square.

3. LINE-UP TIME: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. The lineup will be on WATER STREET, enter from Court Square. No early entries are allowed. Parade order based on arrival to the line-up.

4. NO THROWING OF CANDY OR SMALL ITEMS TO THE PUBLIC. Entries with walkers may pass out small items to spectators along the parade route.

5. Entries should keep TWO (2) car lengths apart during the parade procession.
