The City of Lincolnton and Lincoln County have a number of social services agencies that provide support and assistance to all members of the community. Some key agencies include:
With the help of member churches, local businesses, social groups, and individuals, Christian Ministry of Lincoln County tries to meet the needs of those in our community through five different ministries: Emergency Services, Soup Kitchen - Open everyday 11:30am - 12:30pm, LINC Home Delivered Meals, Christmas Ministry, and Nursing Home Ministry.

The United Way of Lincoln County provides support grants to partner organizations and emergency funding for individuals. The United Way of Lincoln County connects people, resources, and ideas to create a thriving community characterized by stability, educational success, and healthy members of our community.

The Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse’s Child Advocacy Center is dedicated to being the primary source of relief through a coordination of efforts when a child is victimized. The Child Advocacy Center was established to respond rapidly and effectively to reported cases of child abuse, with intent to minimize further trauma to the child and non-offending family members, to promote appropriate therapy for the child and non-offending family members, and to follow-up with the child and family throughout the periods of investigation and therapy.

The Lincoln County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (LCCADV) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit offering shelter, support, services and assistance for women & children survivors of abuse. It is a safe haven for families displaced by violence & a transitional step until they can recover, heal, empower, and make plans for their future.

The Hesed House of Hope is currently the only homeless shelter in Lincoln County. It started in 2008 and rotated between 5 area churches. In 2009, the agency broke ground on a permanent facility. The new facility opened in 2012 and served as a wintertime only shelter until 2017.
