Fire/Arson Investigations
According to state law, every fire in North Carolina must be investigated. At each fire scene the Incident Commander can request the fire marshal to investigate the fire.

 Fires within the City limits may be investigated with the assistance of the Lincolnton Police Department, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF).
